Bengal Meat is the largest brand in the Meat Processing Industry in Bangladesh, selling High quality meat and processed meat products. Bengal Meat’s relentless commitment towards food safety and halal and hygienic practice has managed to achieve a very positive brand perception.

Eid ul Adha, second of the two most important events in the Muslim community of Bangladesh brings a set of unique challenges and opportunities for the brand. Traditionally people visit local cowsheds (Or Haats) to purchase cattles for the sacrificial ritual. During this time every year, Bengal Meat’s high quality slaughtering and packaging facility lie underutilized, and sales are low. But the consumer concern for disease free cattle and high quality meat becomes radically spikes. This makes Eid Ul Adha an auspicious occasion to establish Bengal Meat as the vocal advocate of Halal, Hygienic and Safe Qurbani Practices.

The Objective for the campaign, was to establish the brand’s commitment to food safety, to cover up the costs of underutilized capacity with sales and create a memorable brand experience for end users by showcasing Bengal Meat’s cutting edge abattoir to a wider target group.

Our Approach

Beatnik designed a cohesive and integrated marketing campaign for this occasion. It started with a robust series of contents to raise concerns about the issues of safe and healthy meat. These contents were accompanied by informative contents focusing on Bengal Meat’s expertise in this field.

Once enough reach was generated, we launched a state of the art e-commerce platform where customers can order high quality cattles and meat processing services. This platform had all the necessary information like weight, breed, and age of the cattle, and also let the users choose specifics like delivery time and meat cuts.

This platform was promoted using highly targeted CTA ads. Using our vast database of existing Bengal Meat customers, we could pinpoint our promotions to reach exactly to our potential buyers.

Finally to capitalize on the people’s attention more, we launched a series of supporting contents that talk about how to properly buy a cattle, perform Halal Qurbani and store the meat by maintaining safety standards.

Campaign Results

For three years straight, we have generated amazing value for both the customers and the brand. In terms of no. of cattles sold we have managed to hit new heights each year. Moreover, the market research and solid content have led to a very strong following and high number of loyal customers in the long run.

In 2015, we started the campaign with the sale of only 24 cows. In 2016, it increased to 137 and in 2017 we made a new record of selling 310 cows.
